Things are moving!!! Life + Blog Update

Hello everyone! Happy New Year, hope it's off to a great start for you all.

This post is a bit of a life update, similar to what I shared in the About section of this blog when I started my assignment in Leicester, UK in the fall of 2022. My rotation there ended this past summer, and when I was looking into next steps I was curious to look for opportunities to stay abroad since I’ve really enjoyed my time in Europe so far. I was able to secure a full-time opportunity based in France, so after completing the rotational program I transitioned from Leicester to Chartres- about an hour southwest of Paris.

Some of you may already be aware of this change, especially since I’ve been fortunate to travel back to the states and visit a couple times since I started my new job. As you can tell, my blog got derailed with the move and everything especially since this transition has been more challenging than the move to the UK overall, for instance due to the greater language and cultural differences plus I made this move on my own instead of with the rotational program cohort (the others ended up back stateside). I definitely haven’t forgotten about it though, I’m very excited to continue exploring life as an expat and sharing some of my adventures with you all along the way!

That said, I also wanted to test a new way of sharing some of my stories with you. Moving forward I’m going to try using Google Drive as a platform instead, which is a bit simpler but I think will make some things (like sharing photos) much easier. I’ve added a few new posts about Chartres, as well s my trips to Warsaw and Edinburgh this past summer-- sorry again for the delay.
